Originally most mandolins were of the Neapolitan style, with a rounded back. Most modern players prefer a flat back, which makes the instruments easier to hold and play. My mandolins are all made with a flat back, and have a wider finger board than the Neapolitan instruments.
I have sold instruments to Neil MacCall and Dave and Toni Arthur
